Following the sell-out success of The Sound Of Music, Pieter Toerien with Cape Town Opera presents the world’s most loved musical, Lerner & Loewe’s musical masterpiece, My Fair Lady.

Boasting a bouquet score, containing timeless songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night”, “Get Me to the Church on Time”, “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly”, “I’m Just An Ordinary Man”, “On the Street Where You Live”,

“Show Me”, “The Rain in Spain,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” this grand production is set to enthrall audiences of all ages.

 

This show is the standard that all other musicals are measured by!

 

Adapted from George Bernard Shaw’s play and Gabriel Pascal’s motion picture Pygmalion, My Fair Lady, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, premiered on Broadway.


The legendary original production won 6 Tony Awards including Best Musical and ran for 2,717 performances making it, at the time, the longest-running musical in Broadway history.


The coveted role of Eliza Doolittle will be shared by Brittany Smith (The Sound Of Music, The Magic Flute, Master Class, Lucia di Lammermoor), and Leah Mari(The Sound Of Music, Company). Henry Higgins will be played by Craig Urbani (The Sound Of Music, The Rocky Horror Show, Chicago).


The cast also includes:

Mark Richardson as Doolittle, Sandi l Dlangalala as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, Adrienne Pearce as Mrs Higgins, Namhla Thuka as Mrs Eynsford-Hill, Megan Spencer as Mrs Pearce, Ryan Flynn as Harry, and Gareth Meijsen as Jamie.
