Pieter Toerien's Theatre On The Bay brings you VR Theatrical’s A Christmas Carol, from 30 November until 10 December, 2022 - offering families an opportunity to experience the magical world of Charles Dickens this festive season. Starring Ashley Dowds, with Amber-Dawn Burnhams.
Introducing several ghosts and characters from his past, present and future, this magical play takes the audience on an emotional journey from the old Scrooge's tight-fisted, miserly ways, to the new Scrooge - spreading goodwill and cheer through his generous spirit. Well-known Cape Town-based actor, Ashley Dowds is set to play Ebenezer Scrooge (previously portrayed by Jason Ralph, Charles Bouguenon, and Tiaan Rautenbach), the tight-fisted, miserly grump who, after three visitations, is transformed, spreading goodwill and cheer through his generous spirit.
Ashley Dowds is supported by Amber-Dawn Burnhams, who plays a multitude of roles.
